Car Show Meeting January 18, 2011

A car show meeting was held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Dougan’s Barbecue with 8 members present.

Cindy brought a copy of a flyer that she had been working on. All members present liked the flyer and decided that would be the flyer for the show.

Members present decided on the following:

A map of Ponca City will be put on the back of the flyers

Use 10^th Anniversary instead of 10^th Annual

Bags- Give canvas bags again this year

Door Prizes -Give out better door prizes; talk about at next club meeting

Awards - Have nicer awards

T-Shirts - have a limited number; talk about later

Dash Plaques – first 50 participants + club members

Show Plaques or Awards need to be ordered by March 5 and picked up by May 6

Goody Bag items – Cindy & Murla will send out the letters

The Ponca City News Midweek and Sunday before the car show – will ask Rich to reserve space

Advertising – Mel is sending to numerous Websites

Website Update – Dustin will put 2011 show on the Website with flyer under construction until the flyer is finished; then will put the flyer on the website. Will update the Website as we have new items

Food Vendors – Lynne will call Kirk’s Concessions; Cindy told about her neighbor having ‘Giant Lemon’ which sells Lemonade. Cindy will talk to her neighbor and let Lynne know the results; Lynne will also contact the ice cream novelties company that contacted CSCC before the car show last year

Site Set Up –Bob will ask Homer what we need to do to get a permit

Signs – Are at Homer’s Auction Building – they need to be checked by May 1 to see if they need to be updated or changed

Port-a-Potties – it was mentioned that a handicap port-a-potty would be nice- talk about it later

Insurance – haven’t received a statement yet

Rusty Barrell – Mel will make reservation for dinner after the car show

National Corvette Museum – Mel is working with them to come to the show again this year

Hotel – Block 40 rooms at Quality Inn and 15 rooms at Fairfield Inn

Staff Refreshments – later
